I'm not that interesting, and you really don't care who I am so long as I entertain your ass. So stop acting like you are interested in who I am.

OK. That's not true. I don't hate fruity loops...

I just hate FL presets and all the people who use them.

It's the reason the majority of electronica on NG sound exactly the F*ing same.

Go to Barnes and Noble and read a magazine, or go to KVR and get some free plugins or something.

Stop shitting out the same drums the same bass the same pads and the same leads.

Tweak a F*ing knob.

I Hate Fruity Loops

School is kicking my ass.

I am so tired.

There is not enough time to do what I have to do, let alone what I want to do.

There is so much I said I would do, and I just can't.

Maybe this coming summer.

I'm going to sleep.

Barely hanging in there.

Well, I've been in a slump.

Creatively.
Financially.
Emotionally.

Boo-hoo, right? It's not like I'm suicidal or need prozac... I just get really really apathetic... for months at a time.

Well, I'm pulling out of it... I think. We'll see.

I quit my job. I'm in a new house (which is tough because I quit my job). I start school (again) at UIC Aug 27 (which is tough because I quit my job). I just got back from my buddy's bachelor party in St Louis and I'm heading to his wedding in Toronto tomorrow morning. My brother is getting married Aug 10.

I should be more physically active. I should jog more and play more hockey (goalie... believe me, until you put those pads on you have no idea how tiring it is... it's f*ing awesome!) I'm not fat by by any means, but I feel happy when I've gotten a work out. (If only I could get addicted to that)

Whatev.

I have some songs in the works (two of them sampling/remixing Gillenium). Hopefully when I get back from Toronto I can get my head back in the game.

I'm also working on some tunes with my brother under the monicker ID of OZ (check it at www.myspace.com/idofoz )

And if you have the chance check out Gill's dj sets at http://gillenium.podomatic.com/

Peace.

Mo

P.S.: Anyone who I told I would work with or remix, I haven't forgotten you. There is a good handful of you. I'm sorry it's taken so long. Give me a bit to pull my head out of my ass and I'll try my best to get back to it.

Seriously now!

There is too much stuff I have to do and no time to do it!... wait... cross that... I'm too lazy and lack the dedication to do it.

Damn you RSV2.

There are two songs at the currently at the top of the ambient chart, Temple, and Dewy Embers, which both need a serious Sasha-esque remixing, ala Air Drawn Dagger. Don't get me wrong, these are fantastic songs, but by the end of the song I'm just itching for them to transform into a banging floor filler.

The undertaking will be mine!... eventually... like I said before, Damn you RSV2. Damn you.

Not to mention, I already have other projects queued up.

*sigh*

Argh!

I've come to a conclusion: from now on I am only posting remixes on NG. No more originals. Now I know that no one cares, since no one reads my blog, since I never post stuff... but oh well. I'l put this up here any way.

If anyone does read this, here's a heads up. In the somewhat near future I will be posting a remix of Ice Crystals, the Lizard Vortex Theme, a tune from The Ocarina of Time (I'm not telling you which one!) and a tune from Animal Crossing (there are so many available I'm really surprised more aren't done).

Anyways, now you know what's up. Maybe I'll get some "fans" or something... that's way we make music right? self validation? hot bitches?

Sure.

A conclusion

Before I posted Half Baked Monkey up on NG I sent a copy of it to my bro... ok, quite literally, my biological brother... and he cranked out some "sweet" lyrics for it. He'll be visiting me here in Hawaii in a few days and we're going to re-record and re-master the track. When that get's completed I'll probably delete the original "Half Baked Monkey" instrumental and post the new tune, re-named "Sweet Tooth."

Stay tuned! :)

... but you don't have to stay tuned if you don't want to... I won't make you...

I got tired of seeing that weepy smiley asking me "Why not make one [a news post] now?" so I figured "Why the heck not, eh?"

Well...

My last day of working for "The Man" (aka: the US Navy... I wasn't a SEAL or anything suh-weet like that) was this past Monday, and now I'm on vacation burning off the last of my leave till I get out. In a little more than a month I'll be back in Chicago-land. Yay, Me!

I pretty much gave up on the idea of doing music for a living... it's too big a risk... a musician's employment can be tumultuous (I had to look up the spelling for that one!). It doesn't matter how good you are at what you do, there's always a four year old Korean prodigy who can do it better... and unless you're a teacher or subscribe to the musicians' union (both those unions f*ing give me the heebeegeebees) it's difficult to get health coverage... in the US anyway... I would like to move back to Canada one day... that's right... I'm a Canadian serving in the US military... STFU.

(And in just in case my Mom or little sister come accross this... the letter "F" stands for "fudge.")

Architecture. That's where it's at for me. I'm really, really, looking forward to college again.

UIC (University of Illinois in Chicago) here I come! A creepy older guy who lives in his parents basement! Yes! Yes!... it doesn't matter how much I love my folks, it's going to be a challenge living at home for the next six years after being on my own for the last eight years.

Hooray stifled independence!

I really don't know why anyone would want to read all this stuff about me. Oh well.

Tough F.
